What is this?

Extinction Rebellion (XR) is an international movement campaigning for systemic change to prevent further ecological damage and runaway climate change. It uses creative tactics of enacting conscientious civil disobedience at scales ranging from local actions to global protests. The main focus of their philosophy is that governments and large corporations must take immediate, radical action to reduce carbon emissions, halt biodiversity loss and transition to a state of sustainability. XR’s ultimate goal is to see an end to existing economic and political systems that are based on exploiting natural resources with no thought for future generations. Their aim is to inspire solidarity amongst citizens to bring about change through both education and direct action.
